For Women Under 30, Most Births Occur Outside Marriage

In journalism class we read an article about how women are getting pregnant and most of them are not married. The article stated that the percentage had risen and it has become the "new normal." the article said that now women don’t have to depend on mean as for back in the days they did. Women now can take care of them selves and provide for their children without the need of male assistance. It stated that marriage has become a "luxury good." and that most people think that marriage is just a piece of paper and most people only get married for the money or just for the look and to satisfy others. The article gives quotes from women saying, “We support ourselves. We support our kids.”

When I first read this article I related to most of the things that were said because when I was born my mother and father were not married and they broke up when I was about four. Now my mom is there more than my dad. She looks at herself as to be the mother and father to my little sister and me. The things that were said in the article were like basically reviewing on my mother and how she feels. Most marriages end in the man running away with another women leaving the family with problems with money and the family would be like unstable with their house and food causing the family to get on food stamps.

Student Arrested For Assaulting A Dean

Today I read an article about a boy who assaulted his dean at Gratz high school in Philadelphia. The student was in a pupils program and began to argue with a girl in his class. He began to chase the girl and the dean got in the middle of it. The boy returned to class and started to argue again with the girl but this time the boy approached the dean from behind and grabbed her and threw her on the ground. She went to the hospital but wasn’t severely hurt. The cops arrested to 17 year old and he is being charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment.

I really don't know how to feel about this situation I mean the dean was doing her job as a staff member to break up the argument and was assaulted. She didn’t do anything wrong and the boy should not have been arguing with a girl in the first place. The boy was wrong and should be arrested but other than that leave this situation to the principle and the police. They should be able to handle this and the boy should get what he deserves.

Facebook Is Using You

Yesterday we read an article about how people can get declined loans just because of their online profile. It was proved that while you’re on Google the companies you go too could track everything you ever searched and use that information against you. The article stated that a man came back from his honeymoon and received a credit limit was lowered to $3,800 from $10,800 but it wasn’t because of anything he did. It was because other customers used their cards at places that he did and they had poor repayment history. The article is basically saying that any company can tract everything you ever searched on a computer. The writer wants a no tracking law.

I agree with the writer. A lot of people have been declined loans and health care due to searched they made on a computer. Some people have even lost their jobs. The article even states that facebook makes their money off of you. Suppose you put a status up about engagements a few seconds’ later ads pop up about great places to get married and that’s mainly how facebook makes their money.
